Md. Anisur Rahman is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Presidency University, Dhaka, with extensive experience in university teaching, academic leadership, curriculum development, quality assurance, student affairs, and scholarly research. He joined Presidency University as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English in October 2023 and has served as Associate Professor and Proctor since July 2025.
His academic and research interests centre on Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching (ELT), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), blended and online learning, communicative language teaching, language assessment, educational technology, and the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence in English language education. His scholarly work engages with contemporary challenges in English language teaching and learning in Bangladesh, with particular attention to innovative pedagogies, digital transformation, and technology-mediated education.
Beyond teaching and research, he has contributed to university governance, academic administration, outcome-based education (OBE), institutional quality assurance, curriculum development, and professional development initiatives. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Presidency University Journal (PUJ), contributing to the advancement of research culture and scholarly publication at the university.
